Self-portrait

Thank you to those people that sent kindest greetings to Afriboy.com.

My spirit was warmed by them.

I have tried to answer them all, the many, but some were not clear to me. If I have missed some friend out please do let me know and let me have your words so that I can send you kindness back.

Out of the many emails, one came asking me to join a Portrait Blog. I thank that person, but I did not send a portrait.

A portrait is a special thing.

It is sacred, like a name.

It holds the lake of the eyes, and the rainfall of the lips ,and the temple, which is a dome of radiance and spirit.

This is my new self-portait, It is called "I am back".

Do tell what you think.

Feel loved,

Orokie.

Ingmar, thank you for seeing into what I see. I am happy that you have left a comment, to hear from someone who visits and speaks. May beauty be with you.

Great portrait Orokie,
The emotion in the eyes are riveting.
Like looking into the face of a real person.

I'm Loving the colors too.
The orange, and indigo hues work well.
opposites on the color wheel.

Glad to see your back in the paint mix again after all you been through recently.

Hopefully next time, we can see your self portrait with a smile in it.

Thank you, Grinder.
Orange...Payne's Gray--important colour. Yes, complimentary colour mode (almost).
:-) I know you grind colour paints too.

I am warmed to know you're back home, in your room and drawing and painting once again. I am glad you've been returned to those who love you and you can once more express your love through your art.
Thank you for your most precious gift of your portrait and with your permission I'd like to add it to my desktop pictures.
Stay strong and continue to grow with your roots firmly planted in my love

Dear John Powers. Thank you for poem. Yes, I know Mr Harlem Hughes. This is great poem. Have you heard Hughes read it? Yes, I think you feel right...a soul grown deep...and a little weary. Thanks for your kind thoughts once more. Kind thoughts to ou in return.

Thank you Pure Cacao Joy, yes, of course you may add pic if it gives you pleasure: I have painted a few portraits since I came home...it is like finding home with myself again. I like this portrait much. Friend says it it is "me" in essence, Orokie, spirit portrait rather than simple likeness. Be well.
