The art of the cartoon 6:


Quiero que el aire fuerte de las noche mas honda
quite flores y letras del arco donde duermes,
y un nino negro anuncie a los blancos del oro
la llegada del reino de la espiga.

I love how the art of cartoons combine figure and poetry, syncretism at the root of much Asian art, but not so in Western art.

I enjoy Orokie's figures. This one coupled with the beautiful poetry is perfect.

That's an interesting observation. The poetry is Lorca's "Ode to Walt Whitman", final lines. There is something ghostly (in power) about Orokie's figures, at times.
